The implant industry is ever increasing; and as demand goes up, so will the need for better systems so that the perceived obstacles associated with making fixture level impressions are eased. It is the main reason why, to date, one third of general
practitioners do not routinely offer implant restoration services.
Town and Country is proud to offer a product from the 3i Corporation that allows you to
complete an implant case with just one impression without using any additional
hardware components. The Encode™ system is an excellent option for surgical dentists
who wish to promote implant restorative dentistry to those among their referral base
who are not familiar or not comfortable with implant dentistry.
The proprietary technology of Encode™ is characterized by a unique set of configuration
markers scored on the occlusal surfaces of its healing caps. Without removing the
healing cap, and while still using your normal crown and bridge impressions procedures,
these markers convey the orientation of the implant’s internal hex, collar level, platform
diameter, and angulation – all on the patient’s first visit. Another great benefit is the
soft-tissue contours surrounding the healing cap are also registered in this impression.
Afterwards, the model that is produced gets scanned and a CAD/CAM implant abutment
is made. Town and Country is also one of the first labs that will now offer the ability to
scan Encode™ via the iTero system as well – creating a perfect harmony for all of your
